Signing ceremony of collaboration memorandum between HUST and NUT

On August 6th, 2012, the Signing Ceremony of Academic and Educational Collaboration Memorandum between Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) was held solemnly in the campus of HUST. Under the Memorandum, HUST and NUT will promote the collaboration on Doctoral Student Exchange, joint supervision of Doctoral students and the collaborative education program in Doctoral Program; joint research on scientific and technological subjects and other academic, educational collaboration approved appropriated by the two universities.

Participating the ceremony, there are representatives from NUT led by President NIIHARA Koichi and representatives from Japan Science and Technology Agency, Japan International Cooperation Agency and Tokyo National College of Technology. From HUST side, President Nguyen Trong Giang and other leaders from related Departments, Schools, Center and Project attended the event.

Addressing at the opening ceremony, HUTS’s President Prof. Nguyen Trong Giang warmly welcomed the delegation from NUT and other participants from JAPAN side on behalf of HUST’s Management Board and staff and emphasized: The event of signing HUST-NUT Collaboration Memorandum marks a new development stage for the long-lasting collaboration between the two universities. HUST strongly commits itself to promote the cooperative programs effectively with NUT and believes that this cooperation will reap a great success.

Prof. NIIHARA Koichi in return emphasized the importance of the collaboration with a traditional partner like HUST. NUT also confirmed to promote and expand the relationship with HUST successfully and expressed his gratitude for the warmly welcome of HUST for NUT delegation.

After the signing ceremony, the two parties held a joint conference and meeting within the framework of the ESCANBER project.
